(Newser) – A mind-boggling tragedy in Quebec: A new bride who decided to have additional photos taken in her wedding dress ended up drowning during the shoot, reports the Canadian Press. She was standing near a waterfalls with her feet in the water when her dress started to get saturated, say police. The 30-year-old lost her balance and went into the Ouareau River, and the weight of the dress proved deadly.

"The photographer put down his equipment and tried to save her," says a police official. "He grabbed her with his hands." Another witness "tried to help, but they couldn't save her. The dress was too heavy." By the time a scuba diver found her, she had sunk to the bottom. The woman had been married in June and went to a park in Rawdon, near Montreal, for the additional photos.

Married in JUNE and STILL having wedding pictures taken in her wedding dress in AUGUST. Sounds like some insecurity or image issues. WHY would you stand in the water with a nice wedding dress on? Like many stories there is more here than we will ever know - too bad she paid for her vanity, or whatever, with her life!

Wow !   After reading the stupid posts there's nothing that can be said that would make any sense.  A stalker debate, Darwin awards argument and just plain nut job talk.  Whew, the crazy pot was stirred.
