No longer 'hiking,' Sanford says he's 'happy, excited'

(Newser) – Honeymoon on the Appalachian Trail? More than a year and a half after unceremoniously leaving office, Mark Sanford is engaged to Argentine mistress Maria Belén Chapur, reports CNN, which also has exclusive photos of the happy couple. "Yes, we are engaged, and I’m both happy and excited for what that means,” Sanford said in the statement. “I have long expressed my feelings for her, she’s a wonderful person."

Neither this story or the one at CNN mentioned he's a republican.... I thought the republicans only owned FOX, what gives?

A lot of people complaining about the "republican family values".  I guess it is an easy target when they are people also and just as susceptible to temptation.  But instead of complaining about what they believe, why not just publish your own set of values? Warning, you will be expected to live up to them without fail.
