Homemade Ad Tops Best List

Posted Jan 1, 08 8:28 PM CST in Arts & Living    Editor's Choice

(newser) – The best ad of 2007 cost 12 bucks to make. The winner of the Doritos Super Bowl commercial contest took best ad honors in USA Today's poll of ad pros and couch potatoes. And that wasn't even the most authentic or irreverent item on the list. The winners are:

  • Best Ad: Doritos
  • Best Viral Video: Dove's Evolution

  • Best "Special Effects": The effect-free Toyota Tundra commercials
  • Made Me Want to Buy it: Apple iPhone
  • Funniest: The "Messin' with Sasquatch" series from Jack Link's beef jerky
  • Most Offensive/Annoying: Pfizer Viagra
  • Made Me Misty-Eyed: Diamond Trading Co.
  • Best Characters: Apple's Mac and PC
  • Best Use of Music: Coke
  • Best "Green" Ad: GE Ecomagination
