(Newser) – The actor who played California cop David Starsky on TV's Starsky & Hutch in the 1970s plans to fight pot-possession charges in Ohio. Paul Michael Glaser got arrested at a hotel in Bowling Green when police answered a complaint about someone smoking marijuana near an elevator, reports the local Daily News. Glaser, 69, says it was indeed pot, but he's got an excuse Huggy Bear's pals couldn't even dream about back in the day: Glaser says it was legally prescribed to him in his home state of California. He was in town to promote his young adult fantasy book Chrystallia and the Source of Light.

Marijuana is the safest therapeutically active substance known to mankind,it is a medicine. It was made illegal in 1937 on the grounds of lies, greed and racism. When America gets it head out of it's buttand legalize Marijuana. They will be saving billions of dollars every year. Now taxing Marijuana will bring in billions of dollars in tax revenue every year. By legalizing Marijuana we would create 100,000's of new tax paying jobs. I guess America does not need the revenue or the jobs at this time.
