Michael Strahan, she announced today

(Newser) – Surprise, surprise: Kelly Ripa announced her new Live! With Kelly co-host today, and it's Michael Strahan. Rumors had centered on the former football star since last month, ABC News reports. "We finally have our new guy. That's right, I said guy," Ripa said on today's show. "It's an exciting morning." Strahan called himself "speechless" and said the new gig is "a dream come true." An impressive 59 co-hosts have sat in the chair that used to belong to Regis Philbin since he left the show last November.

She's a PIA and he isn't much better...never watch the show anymore anyway..Gelman sucks too!

The other comments here are so juvenile. Hasn't school started, yet? I told my husband months ago that it would be Michael. He is the perfect choice. Michael is a natural sitting beside Kelly; he is funny, easy going, quick on his feet and intelligent. They clearly have a nice chemistry with each other, as their friendship comes through when they host together. Bravo to the producers of Live...! And, best wishes to Michael and Kelly as they start this new era together.

She will enjoy his expertise at being "deeply penetrating." That's what his people do. And he will be disappointed to learn that she can't last more than five minutes. That's what her people do.
