"Any form of insult is from now on punishable, whether it be racist, homophobic, or otherwise," the mayor was quoted as saying yesterday. Brussels is known as family-friendly, AFP reports, but until now the courts were too busy to worry about hurt feelings. Now, officials have agreed that fines starting at $94 can be imposed.
