Warriors Get Sacked by Georgia

(Newser) – There was little drama in this year's Sugar Bowl matchup, as SEC power Georgia showed no regard for Hawaii's 12-0 record in a thorough dismantling of the WAC champs, 41-10. The Bulldogs, feeling slighted at not being chosen for the national championship game, recorded eight sacks, forced six turnovers and knocked out Hawaii QB Colt Brennan, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Bolstered by two early touchdowns by Knowshon Moreno, UGA also broke a 65-year-old school record for points in a bowl game. The Warriors had entered the game hoping to repeat last year's bowl success of WAC rival Boise State, but never had a chance against the No. 5 ranked team, whose fans taunted them with chants of "overrated!"
