'Love who you want,' says Nick Cassavetes at film festival

(Newser) – At the Toronto Film Festival this weekend, Nick Cassavetes found himself having to defend a scene in his new movie, Yellow, in which a brother and sister are shown to be in love. But he's not apologetic, he reveals in an interview with The Wrap. "We had heard a few stories where brothers and sisters were completely, absolutely in love with one another," says Cassavetes, who wrote and directed the film. "You know what? This whole movie is about judgment, and lack of it, and doing what you want. Who gives a shit if people judge you?"

"I’m not saying this is an absolute but in a way, if you’re not having kids—who gives a damn? Love who you want," he continues. "Isn’t that what we say? Gay marriage—love who you want?" Click for the complete interview.

I don't know what they do behind closed doors (and don't care) but apparently Ralph Nader and his sister have lived together all their lives. With today's blended families there may be more than sibling rivalry going on. As long as it doesn't involve adults and children whether related or not, I have no objection to what people do in private. I'd hope siblings meaning to have children would have genetic counseling.

Hello BrushMan...That little voice inside of you.  The one that tells you right from wrong... if you have listened to it, then you have moral correctness.    The question remains, what choices did you make?
