(Newser) – Protests over an anti-Islam film have spread to Thailand, where 700 police were ready at the US embassy in Bangkok. Some 400 people gathered peacefully; organizers had called for a peaceful demonstration on Facebook. Protesters held signs saying "Stop insulting our religion" as they chanted against the US and Israel, the AP reports. A leader warned of a "sea of fire" if the US doesn't halt the film's distribution.

People who act like barbarians clearly don't have a religion anyone can respect.

The United States is a republic that will stand by its policy of vigorous debate, both within an outside of its shores, even in matters of self-interpreted directives from all Gods.
