Anyone hoping for catfights on the upcoming season of American Idol will be sorely disappointed: Mariah Carey says the rumors of a feud between her and fellow diva-judge Nicki Minaj are false, at least for now. "How are we gonna feud in two days? I think a feud takes a little longer to happen," said Carey at a press conference yesterday, the AP reports. Minaj and fellow new judge Keith Urban were just announced Sunday. The rapper also vaguely combated rumors of a feud, saying (in an English accent, of course) that the judges are "getting along wonderfully, darling." Meanwhile:

  • In other news about singing competition reality shows… Usher and Shakira will be coaches on The Voice next season, while Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera take the season off. The other coaches are Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, People reports.
  • And in other news about divas feuding with musicians who like to wear really weird outfits… Madonna dedicated a song to Lady Gaga at her concert Saturday, claiming she actually "loves" Gaga, E! reports. "Imitation is the highest form of flattery," said the Material Girl, adding that the two would "be on stage together … very soon."
