(Newser) – Golden State returned to the site of its historic upset from the 2007 playoffs, but the results were different this time as Dallas pounded them 121-99.  Normally reserved Dirk Nowitzki netted 28 points and showed great emotion during the Mavericks' 19-4 fourth-quarter run. Warriors playoff star Baron Davis struggled - shooting just two of 14 and scoring 10 points. Elsewhere:

  • Milwaukee found a solution for a nine-game road losing streak - go play in Miami. It worked with a 103-98 win over the shorthanded Heat. Mo Williams had 25 points, nine assists for the Bucks.
  • Portland also got a rare road win, defeating Minnesota, which is now a league-worst 4-27. Brandon Roy scored 24 points for the Blazers.
