Katie Couric seems to have it all, but during her early 20s she battled with an eating disorder, she says on today's edition of her daytime show, in a confession picked up by the New York Post. "I wrestled with bulimia all through college and for two years after that," Couric says while talking to Demi Lovato, who has also struggled with eating disorders. "And I know this rigidity, this feeling that if you eat one thing that’s wrong, you’re full of self-loathing and then you punish yourself—whether it’s one cookie or a stick of gum that isn’t sugarless—that I would sometimes beat myself up for that."

Sources tell the Post Couric had bulimia from age 18 to 24, which included the beginning of her TV career, and that she eventually triumphed by seeing a therapist and doing research into the harm she was doing her body. (More bulimia stories.)
