A German woman charged with killing five of her newborn babies says she was afraid her husband—who didn't want any more kids—would leave her. The 28-year-old and her husband have two living children, 8 and 10, and the husband was unaware of the subsequent births. She has admitted to killing two of the infants, who were born alive, the BBC reports. One was found in a paper-recycling plant in 2006, the other in a car park in 2007. Three more bodies were found in the woman's cellar. (More Germany stories.)
