Producers concerned Minaj, Carey will continue to fight

So much for "no drama" between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. The two new American Idol judges went at it during North Carolina auditions yesterday, and the fracas was caught on tape. Minaj and Carey disagreed over one of the performances, TMZ reports, and Minaj reportedly threatened Carey with, "I'm gonna knock you out." Sadly, that part wasn't caught on tape. What was recorded, as translated by TMZ, involves a lot of swearing from Minaj as Carey responds, but can't be heard, and Randy Jackson urges everyone to "settle down."

"Don't lose your head. Don't lose your head. Don't tell me I'm a gangster," Minaj says at one point. "Every time you patronize me, I'm-ma take it back, and if you've got a f***ing problem, handle it. I told them I'm not f***in' putting up with her f***ing highness over there." Producers are apparently concerned this could be an ongoing problem, though it certainly sounds like good TV to us.
