(Newser) – Good news for Egypt's revolutionaries: President Mohamed Morsi today pardoned the ones who are awaiting trial or serving time in prison, the BBC reports. Only those accused of murder are excluded. On his Facebook page, Morsi announced the pardon for acts "committed with the aim of supporting the revolution" between the revolution's first day—January 20, 2011—and June 30, 2012, when Morsi took office. The amnesty comes a year after a massacre that killed at least 20 during a protest by Coptic Christians in Cairo, reports the AFP.

eph-engr - explain to me how Obama helped elect Morsi. Last I checked, the US military had no hand during the uprising or subsequent election.

So according to Mosri it is acceptable to abuse and even kill people just for being Christian!?! And this is the guy our government, the Obama administration, helped into power! We are a weak and stupid culture to elect as our leader one who has sympathies most closely linked with our enemies.
