(Newser) – Jon Stewart has had exactly enough of this Big Bird stuff from the Obama campaign. From stump speeches to a campaign ad, the big yellow guy is everywhere these days, Stewart noted on last night's Daily Show. The tipping point for the host: Will.i.am's appearance on the trail, during which he played the Sesame Street theme song and offered a "half-assed remix." The Big Bird focus, Stewart points out, is allowing even John McCain to laugh at the president "for using a cartoonish childlike figure to invigorate his campaign," reports Mediaite—something McCain might know a bit about.

That was a hilarious bit. Must be kind scary for the Dems though...when Jon Stewart is calling them out. Other than during the insane DNC, i don't think i've ever seen him do that.

Hey kids, wanna know another fun fact? Sesame Workshop received $1,067,532 Chinese-borrowed Stimulus to "promote improved nutrition and increased physical activity, targeting low-income preschool-aged children and their families and care providers." Awww...how swell. Now kids, let's bring in The Count to help us count the number of jobs created with that $1mil: 1.47 http://www.recovery.gov/Transparency/RecipientReportedData/pages/RecipientProjectSummary508.aspx?AwardIdSur=111967 Isn't math the funny??
