Dominik Hasek gave all the credit to his defense for his second shutout of the season yesterday as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Dallas Stars 3-0, the Detroit News reports. Hasek had 22 saves as the Red Wings won their 16th game in the last 19. The Stars have lost four in a row.

Brian Rafalski, Dan Cleary and Johan Franzen scored goals for the Red Wings, who have won five straight on the road, outscoring opponents 20-5.  "We did a good job of taking away their skill and speed through the middle," Cleary said. "It was a tight game and not many shots [on goal]. We capitalized on our chances." (More Dallas Stars stories.)
