(AP) – A body found in a recycling container has been preliminarily identified as that of a missing 12-year-old New Jersey girl, officials said today. The body found last night is believed to be that of Autumn Pasquale, who was last seen Saturday afternoon at her father's home. Officials did not say exactly where the body was found. An autopsy to confirm the body's identity will be conducted today, officials said.

Investigators found the body shortly after an emotional candlelight vigil was held for the girl in her hometown; she had been the subject of a massive search over the last two days. "This is a very sad day for the Pasquale family," the Gloucester County prosecutor said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to the family and to all the residents of Clayton who stood together in support of this young girl."

A pair of brothers aged 15 and 17 are charged with the girls murder, there was no mention of sexual assault. Apparently, the 15 year old lured the girl into their home, saying they had some parts for her bike, after the girl entered the home, she was beaten and strangled to death. http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8856626

Just plain sickening!!! There are just WAY too many stories like this one about poor Autumn in the world now days. How unfortunate we live in a world where children disappear, some found dead and others not found at all. Yes, RIP Autumn. My condolences to those who loved her.

This kind of thing makes me want to hire bodyguards to follow all my kids around individually all the time. Pretty sure my kids wouldn't like that.
