(Newser) – CNN received a bomb threat early this morning as part of a $15,000 extortion attempt, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A man called police at 4am, threatening to detonate a chemical bomb at the cable news headquarters unless he was given the money and a plane ticket, according to Atlanta police. Police closed the roads around CNN and searched the building and a nearby hotel floor-by-floor, but found nothing, so the roads were re-opened around 5:30am. Police are looking for the person responsible.

CNN Center in Atlanta received a bomb threat before dawn this morning, as an unidentified man demanded $15,000 or he would explode a chemical bomb.
