Cee Lo Accused of Drugging Woman

(Newser) – A woman accusing Cee Lo Green of sexual assault claims that the music star drugged her with Ecstasy, and she secretly recorded a conversation in which he admits guilt, reports TMZ. The woman says she went on a date with Cee Lo in July, but woke up hours later naked in bed with the singer and no memory of what happened.

After the woman went to the police with her accusations, the police had her call Cee Lo in an attempt to make him confess to what happened. In the call, the singer apologizes and makes references to MDMA—although he does not explicitly say he slipped the drug to her, and Ecstasy usually does not cause memory loss. Cee Lo's lawyer says this is all just an extortion attempt, a claim the woman's lawyer strongly denies.

"Ecstasy usually does not cause memory loss"---exactly, you are not going to do anything you didn't really want to do on ecstasy (although it's dangerous to say that because if more people knew that it could hurt a rape defense).  It does cause memory loss, but SHORT term memory loss ;) and will not black you out.

The police would not try to get Cee Lo to "confess" on the phone! If they did not tell him he was being taped, the call could NOT be used.

THIS is a rape allegation. The extortion attempt comes next.
