(Newser) – In the and-you-thought-you-had-a-bad-day department: A driver in Salem, Massachusetts, managed to run himself over when the brakes on his pickup truck failed, reports the Boston Globe. Brian Reynolds tried to slow his truck by sticking out his foot and driving up a hill, the result being that he fell out of the truck, which proceeded to roll over his left leg. Luckily, he suffered only minor injuries, and the truck came to a stop after hitting a fire hydrant. Police rewarded his efforts with a $35 ticket for driving with defective equipment.

omg! this is ridiculous and I can totally relate, not only to the creepy cop, bt to running yourself over. I had stopped one night for 2 elderly women cuz no one else was. I pulled over , started to get out and help, when my seatbelt got stuck on my shoulder and my car started moving. Dragged me for 15 ft, ran over my leg, proceeded into traffic . As i screamed for help, sure that the women would help rescue such luck! They jst watched me and told me they didnt need any help, their husbands were coming..of course this happened ,after I wranggled my car, back into control. They never did ask me if i was ok ...not even a thank u...most likely if a cop had been there, i'd have gotten a ticket cuz thats jst the kinda night it was... hurt like hell, bt the lack of human compassion, was much more hurtful...
