House Committee Chairs Won't Be All-Boys Club

(Newser) – John Boehner took some heat earlier this week when his newly announced lineup of House committee chairs was made up entirely of men. But he still had two spots left, and the speaker used one of them today to select Rep. Candice Miller of Michigan to run the House Administration panel, reports the Hill. Miller had been in the running for the coveted Homeland Security chairmanship, but she lost out to Rep. Mike McCaul. Despite today's pick, the chairs of all the major House panels will be white men, notes Politico.

The position they gave her is comparable to head dog catcher. Way to go Boys! Republican men are dumb, but Republican women are even dumber to hang around and take this treatment. Good grief!

Wow. I hope Candice has a nice apron to wear. If she needs pointers she might want to watch MadMen.
