(Newser) – Brad Pitt got a taste of life on the D-list this weekend, with his worst opening weekend since 1994: Killing Them Softly pulled in an anemic $7 million, distantly behind Breaking Dawn: Part 2's $17.4 million, Skyfall's $17 million, and Lincoln's $13.5 million, reports the LA Times. And not only did nobody go see Killing Them Softly, but those who did apparently hated it; CinemaScore gave the gangster flick an F rating. "We're disappointed, and there's no getting around that,” says a Weinstein Co. rep, who adds, "people just didn't like the movie."

Well no wonder, Weinstein was involved. Eventually he'll run out of money or his investors will finally wise up.  Actors need to stay away from that guy.  Your share ain't gonna be much.   His involvement in the story and editing will destroy anything that might have potential.  Let alone the casting. Where does he find these people. One big star surrounded by who is that.
