Only in Florida...

(Newser) – Another reason why Florida can't have nice things: A woman came home Tuesday night to discover something had been stolen from her home: her driveway. The Ocala Star-Banner reports that 300 square feet of brick pavers were carted away sometime between 7:30am and 6pm. The homeowner was alerted to their absence after pulling into her driveway, and feeling a bump. When she got out to inspect, she noticed there was no longer a driveway there. A witness apparently spotted two men digging up the pavers, but assumed it was tied to other construction happening at the home.

Not the driveway in question.

A few years ago some thieves stole a whole brick street in Philadelphia. It seems that they don't make bricks like they used to, so old ones are worth a lot on the black market.

the real story:  she probably didn't pay the contractors and they reclaimed what is rightfully theirs .  We did something similar when a customer didn't pay up.  As a poster said below, "pay your bills."
