(Newser) – Mark Wahlberg—who, the Huffington Post points out, has worked with people like Martin Scorsese—thinks his most important role ever is ... Transformers 4. "This is not something where it's already established and I'm just in there to get a paycheck," an apparently very enthusiastic Wahlberg said in a recent interview with ComingSoon.net. "I'm thinking this is the most important role of my career and I can do something really special." He added that Michael Bay told him the film will be "a whole different reboot" on the only-recently-rebooted franchise. It's expected to be out in 2014.

He's acting in quality stuff and producing some quality too, but he's still bound by contract to big up the next project. Still, this seems on the hyperbolic side.

Looks like 3 made enough money to warrent a 4th. This is kids stuff. Mark is trying to save a career that's going down and sinking by the head. That's why he's putting all his eggs in one basket. If the kids like him then he's good for a few more years making kids movies.

I figure he's trolling. The man is kinda known for that, anyways.
