Some firearm purveyors may have decided to lie low in the wake of the Newtown tragedy, but not Crockett Keller—he's having a sale. The Texas gun store owner is offering local teachers a 10% discount on his concealed carry handgun classes, the Huffington Post reports. "I thought, 'There we go again, another gun-free zone,'" he says. "What would have happened had there been a teacher with a handgun or a principal with some sort of defense training?" Keller hasn't exactly shied away from publicity: Last year, he aired a radio ad barring his class to certain kinds of people, including those of the "socialist liberal and/or voted for the current campaigner-in-chief" persuasion, and "non-Christian Arab or Muslim."

So far no one has taken Keller up on his offer. But some Texans think he's got the right idea. The superintendent of one 103-student district tells Fox News that his teachers are all armed and dangerous. "We give our 'Guardians' training in addition to the regular Texas conceal-and-carry training," he boasts. "We are our first responders." And the state's attorney general said yesterday that lawmakers are considering ways to encourage more teachers to follow suit. (More Texas stories.)
