Dude, Mom Unloaded My Car

(Newser) – The "meanest mom on the planet" has unloaded her rule-breaking 19-year-old son's car in a very public Des Moines Register classified ad: "Totally uncool parents who obviously don't love teenage son, selling his car. Only driven for three weeks before snoopy mom who needs to get a life found booze under front seat."

The ad garnered plenty of kudos for Iowan Jane Hambleton, who has gotten calls from as far as Georgia—and not just from car hunters. "It's overwhelming the number of people saying 'Thank you, it's nice to see a responsible parent.'" She hasn't fielded any complaints, except from her son, who says the alcohol wasn't his. He's "very, very unhappy," she said.
