Now in Colorado: Members-Only Pot Clubs

BYO pot, and light up indoors

(Newser) – America is now home to at least two pot clubs. The Colorado toking emporiums are members-only establishments, reports the AP, which was on hand for yesterday's 4:20pm opening of Club 64 in Denver. Some 200 people paid the $29.99 monthly members fee, which gets them access to the bring-your-own-pot club, named after the Colorado constitutional amendment allowing recreational pot use in the state.

Colorado's marijuana amendment prohibits public consumption, and smoke-free laws also appear to ban much indoor smoking. But Club 64's attorney said private pot dens are permissible because marijuana isn't sold, and explained that the club is intended for people who can't toke at home because of local ordinance or because their landlords threaten eviction. Club 64 intends to meet monthly at different locations; yesterday's pot club met at a hemp-based clothing store, and served two official snacks: Goldfish and Cheetos, inspired by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, who warned marijuana users the night of the marijuana vote, "don't break out the Cheetos or Goldfish too quickly."

QUESTION? --- How does the police check for a driver driving under the influence of drugs, test a person, on how under the influence the driver is? --- Is there a marijuana "blow-test" like an "alcohol blow-test" to see how under the influence the driver is? -------- REALLY

This is Colorado's "jobs bill"! Many of the pot junkies will regularly call in sick so replacement help will have to be hired. Mental health facilities will have to be expanded and hire additional help to treat all of the additional addicted. Human Resource Depts will have to be expanded to handle all the FMLA requests. What a brilliant plan!
