Celtics Stunned at Home by Charlotte

Posted Jan 10, 08 12:32 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Coming off arguably their biggest win of the season against the Pistons in Detroit on Saturday, the Boston Celtics laid an egg at home versus Charlotte. Jason Richardson scored 34 points to lead the Bobcats to a 95-83 victory. Playing without Ray Allen, who has a pinched nerve in his neck, Boston saw its nine-game winning streak snapped, reports the AP. Elsewhere:

  • Knicks fans finally got their wish tonight when Isaiah Thomas was booted from MSG. Unfortunately for them, it was just for this game as Thomas was ejected by an official. New York lost the game 101-92 to Houston.
  • LeBron James scored 14 of his game-high 31 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Cleveland fell to Atlanta 90-81.
