Gabrielle Giffords is planning a trip a Newtown home today, where she'll meet privately with families of the Sandy Hook massacre victims, the AP reports. Connecticut's lieutenant governor has also been invited to the meeting, which is "planned but not confirmed," officials say. It's possible the former Arizona congresswoman, who survived a mass shooting herself, will make an additional appearance. Two days ago, Giffords and husband Mark Kelly met with New York mayor Michael Bloomberg regarding gun control, NBC Connecticut notes. (More Gabrielle Giffords stories.)
