(Newser) Star Wars creator George Lucas is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Mellody Hobson, a Lucasfilm rep confirms to the Hollywood Reporter. Lucas, 68, and Hobson, 43, have been together since 2006; this will be her first marriage and Lucas' second. Hobson has quite the resumé herself: She's the DreamWorks Animation chairman and also heads up investment management and mutual fund firms. She often contributes financial pieces to Good Morning America, and in 2009 hosted a financial show on ABC.
