(Newser) – Diana Ross' latest temper tantrum happened at a Beverly Hills restaurant Thursday, sources tell the New York Post. La Scala refused to seat the former Supreme when she arrived for lunch, since its policy is not to seat incomplete parties unless there is a reservation—and Ross' daughter wasn't there yet. An irked Ross stormed to a booth and sat down anyway, leading management to come over and reiterate the seating policy. Ross was also told that if she insisted on staying in the booth, she would not be served, but she stayed put.

When her daughter arrived, there was of course a huge scene and both women ended up leaving angrily, sources say. "I’m sorry that Miss Ross had a problem with [our policy] and she feels that the rules didn’t apply to her," the restaurant owner tells the Post. "We treat everyone the same whether you’re famous or not. We love having her as a customer. We’d be happy to have her back." (Another recent alleged tantrum-thrower: Britney Spears.)

I was just at a restuarant, small local, and they refused to sit us because the whole party of 5 weren't there, only 3.  3/4 of the restaurant was empty. So I had them sit us at a table for 3 and when the other 2 arrived, they had to go out of their way to accomodate us. So here they are moving tables and moving our drinks, etc.  I can understand if they're busy or full, otherwise it makes no sense.  People do order drinks maybe an appetizer while they wait for the rest of the party, so they're not losing money. I didn't throw a tantrum I just knew it would be their trouble to accomodate us later.

And the story continues that upon departing the Beverly Hills restaurant with daughter in tow, Diana headed for Mings Chinese restaurant where Diana and daughter partook in a little Tong Chow.

She should have been seated and offered a glass of wine.No public figure should have to stand at the front of a restaurant and wait for a table.People are too ignorant and would harass them. La Scala should know this!!!!.If it were Sinatra he would not have waited. This is bogus!!!!
