(Newser) – Yet another intriguing detail in the strange case of the poisoned lottery winner: In an interview with the AP on Tuesday, wife Shabana Ansari said that on the night that he died, Urooj Khan became ill shortly after they had dinner together. Indeed, a police source tells Fox News Khan he ate what was likely his last meal at home with his wife and daughter—but the source says he was the only one to eat the Indian dinner Ansari prepared. Khan became extremely ill later that night and was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. Police have yet to name a suspect in the case. (Meanwhile, Khan's family is fighting over his lotto check.)

Now lemme get this straight... The wife and daughter made him a meal. It was poisoned. They didn't eat any of it. He died. They are the beneficiaries of the lottery fortune...     It looks like this case is too tough for detectives to solve.   They should call in the third graders...

I don't know if we will ever know who killed this guy, or why. But he had $1.2 million in assets and if it was for money it seems crazy that someone would kill someone for that little. If it is the wife how long is she going to live on that? Chances are without him actively running the dry cleaning businesses they will rapidly fall apart and be in $1.2 million of debt.
