(Newser) – Democratic frontrunners Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are actively recruiting an army of Hollywood stars to help on the campaign trail. The LA Times runs down the supporting casts: Besides Oprah Winfrey, Obama has the support of George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston, and Halle Berry. Clinton's star backers include Magic Johnson, Steven Spielberg, and Rob Reiner.

Martin Sheen, aka Josiah Bartlet, has yet to pick a new candidate now that his choice, Bill Richardson, is out of the race. And Republican candidates also have their star supporters. Mike Huckabee is seen so often with Chuck Norris his campaign has been called "The Huck and  Chuck Show." John McCain packs Hollywood power, too: Wilford Brimley's a supporter.
