A trio of thieves nearly got away with robbing a convenience store in Colombia when their getaway donkey ruined everything, the Telegraph reports. The three had managed to steal tuna, sardines, rum, rice, and oil from a little shop in the town of Juan de Acosta when the donkey's braying alerted police. The thieves quickly abandoned their stolen goods—already loaded on 10-year-old Xavi—and ran off into the night. Police detained the donkey, which had also been stolen, for about 12 hours until the owner showed up to take him home. (More strange stuff stories.)
