(Newser) – Fourth-ranked Washington State remained unbeaten last night with a 73-58 win over USC. OJ Mayo hauled in 22 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans but got no help from the bench in a game that saw only four USC free throws. The victory was only WSU's 12th in 53 games at USC, AP reports. In other college hoops:

  • Kevin Love scored a season-low 11 points, but No. 5 UCLA still prevailed, easily, over Washington 69-55. Luc Richard Mbah a Mout had 17 points for the Bruins, and Russell Westbrook brought 18 off the bench.
  • No. 14 Butler got 22 points from Matt Howard in a 74-65 win over Wisconsin-Green Bay.
