(Newser) – Newly minted all-star Evgeny Nabakov had 20 saves for San Jose as the Sharks cruised to their fourth season victory over Vancouver, AP reports. The 3-1 triumph, San Jose's sixth in seven games, came with the help of three assists from fellow all-star Joe Thornton. On other rinks last night:

  • Brad Boyes had two goals and Paul Karyia added a goal and two assists to raise St. Louis to a 4-2 win against Dallas.
  • Philadelphia fell behind 0-2 in the first period, but six consecutive goals, including a Scott Hartnell hat trick, dwarfed the Rangers' dual scores by Ryan Hollweg.
