Seeking confirmation as the next secretary of state, John Kerry will testify today before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Shouldn't be a tough crowd: Kerry himself has been on the committee for 28 years, and he's led it for the past four, the AP notes. He'll be introduced by Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, and John McCain, and his confirmation should pose no problem. The job has been a long time coming for Kerry, who was passed over in favor of Clinton four years ago and nominated only after Susan Rice took her name out of the running. Click for more.
