Gomer Pyle Star Marries Male Partner

Jim Nabors, star of 1960s sitcom Gomer Pyle, USMC, has married his longtime male partner in Washington state. "I'm 82 and he's in his 60s and so we've been together for 38 years and I'm not ashamed of people knowing," Nabors tells Hawaii News Now. "I'm very happy that I've had a partner of 38 years and I feel very blessed. And, what can I tell you, I'm just very happy." Nabors and his partner, who live in Hawaii, traveled to Seattle for the ceremony. He says friends and colleagues knew about his sexuality during his years in Hollywood, but he has never acknowledged it to the media until now. (More Jim Nabors stories.)
