(Newser) – Another school shooting in the news: A 14-year-old boy got shot at an Atlanta middle school this afternoon, reports WSB-TV and 11Alive. The victim was hit in the back of the neck but was alert upon arrival at the hospital, say school officials. A suspect, thought to be another student, is in custody. A teacher also was injured, but not by a gunshot. Police think the teacher got trampled after the shooting, which took place outside a building at Price Middle School.

"Police say an armed school resource officer—of the type the NRA is pushing—disarmed the suspect minutes after the shooting" That is good, at least I think it was a good thing, the armed school resource officers action I am talking about.  Wonder how many more people the kid would have shot if there had been no one there armed and willing to stop the shooter ??

That area of Atlanta is about 90% black, so this is probably more of the black-on-black crime problem prevalent in all large American cities, which Jackson, Sharpton and Øbyango never mention.
