Home Hornets Beat Heat With Threes

Posted Jan 11, 08 11:11 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – New Orleans continued to enjoy their best start in franchise history, routing Miami 114-88, the AP reports. Bobby Jackson had a mammoth night, going nine-for-nine, including seven three pointers, to finish with 25 points. Despite a surprising 27-point performance from Mark Blount, Miami lost its tenth straight game. Elsewhere in the NBA:

  • The fire Isiah chants continued in New York, as Thomas benched Zach Randolph following an argument between player and coach. Toronto, led by Chris Bosh's 40, put away the Knicks, 99-90.
  • Despite the absence of Tracy McGrady with a lingering kneee injury, and minimal play from Yao Ming, the Rockets dominated the T-Wolves, 113-82.  Luis Scola had a career high 22 points for Houston.
