Bloomberg Blasts NRA in Super Bowl Ad

Ad shows footage of LaPierre voicing NRA's support for background checks

(Newser) – More bad news for Wayne LaPierre: Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns is going primetime with a gun control ad slated for tonight's Super Bowl, and LaPierre is the unintentional star. The ad features 1999 footage of LaPierre saying the NRA fully supports universal background checks, reports the AP; the group has since reversed its stance. As for how much Bloomberg & Co. shelled out for the ad, a rep would say only that it was in the six-figures. LaPierre isn't having the best day.

Michael Bloomberg's mayors' group bought a Super Bowl ad to prod the NRA on its stance against universal background checks.

My response to this show of hypocrisy by Mr. LaPierre is to blast away at Bloomburg as if that changes anything.

Bloomberg is not so much corrupted as someone who uses his great wealth to corrupt others.  He micro-manages NYPD just as he has the Dept. of Education to the citizens great detriment.  We have NO police protection in NYC.  He's head of a large media conglomerate & keeps unfavorable news out of the mainstream media. NYPD needs another Knapp Commission badly, only now the corruption is from the top down, starting with Bloomberg. http://www.villagevoice.com/2012-03-07/news/the-nypd-tapes-confirmed/
