(Newser) – Denver's Carmelo Anthony had 32 points, and got help from unexpected places to beat Orlando 113-103, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Anthony Carter and Linas Kleiza had 21 and 18 points respectively, including Carter's 14 during a fourth-quarter surge in which the Nuggets broke open a close game after trailing Orlando for all of the second and third quarters.

Anthony's back-to-back shots to open the fourth quarter were all it took to tip the balance for good in favor of Denver. Orlando, which got the benefit of a 20-point, 13-rebound game from Dwight Howard, and a team-leading 21 points from Rashad Lewis, was without Nene Hilario, whose medical leave of absence was announced before the game.
