The Warriors set a season high last night by handing out 33 assists, 19 of which came through Baron Davis, reports the Contra Costa Times. The result was a 116-104 win over the Grizzlies, who wasted the 43-point, 11-board effort of Pau Gasol. Whereas Gasol seemed more or less on his own, Davis saw plenty of team support.

"I've got a good team. I'm impressed," said Davis. He would have you forget his 20 points and single turnover in light of Monta Ellis's 27 points and Stephen Jackson's 22, but Don Nelson knows who his playmaker is. "We have to single Baron out," said Golden State's coach. (More NBA stories.)
