Favre, Packers Rout Seahawks

Posted Jan 12, 08 9:27 PM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Green Bay running-back Ryan Grant  was questioning himself after fumbling twice to hand the Seattle Seahawks a 14-0 lead yesterday. Fortunately for Grant, Brett Favre had no questions to answer, as he led the Packers to 21 straight points en route to a 42-20 win in the NFL playoffs, the Seattle Times reports.

Favre threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns in a steady Lambeau Field snowstorm, as the Packers scored the most points ever against the Seahawks in a playoff game. Grant made up for his two fumbles in the first two possessions by rushing for a team-playoff record 201 yards and three touchdowns. Seattle has not won a road playoff game since 1983.
