(Newser) – It looks like Marco Rubio's self-deprecating fundraiser is working. After weathering merciless teasing over his infamous swig during the State of the Union response, the Florida senator began offering water bottles to benefit his political action committee, Reclaim America. Supporters have snapped up more than 3,100 bottles (the fancy reusable kind, not the bitty plastic ones) in exchange for donations of $25 or more, scoring $100,000 for the PAC in about five days, a Rubio insider tells BuzzFeed. The PAC's pitch: "Send the liberal detractors a message that not only does Marco Rubio inspire you ... he hydrates you too."

Partisan comments are full of LOLs. You are all terribly cruel to each other.

One thing about republicans, they always tell you they have more money than they do; more support than they do; more votes than they do; more knowledge than they do and more compassion then they have ever shown. Considering how mathematically challenged the republican party is I’d never believe the donation total until some audited the books. They lie about everything else, why wouldn’t they lie about how much they took in donations?

Rubio is going to try to take all the credit for immigration reform. If he were from Mississippi he'd take credit for ratifying the 13th Amendment. Rubio is just more of the same old Republican ideas.
