Suspect in Pregnant Marine's Killing Spotted in La.

Posted Jan 13, 08 9:24 AM CST in Crime & Courts US

(Newser) – The Marine suspected in the murder of Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach and her unborn child was spotted last night exiting a bus in Shreveport, La., and could be headed to Texas, police said today. Authorities said they believe Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean could be dangerous if "put in a corner," and are hopeful he will be apprehended soon, the AP reports.

Laurean faces murder charges, though authorities have yet to positively identify the remains of the pregnant woman and her fetus found charred in his backyard firepit yesterday. Lauterbach had also accused him of rape. Laurean is believed to have been on the lam since 4am Friday in a black Dodge pickup, and is the subject of a nationwide manhunt.
