(Newser) – Looks like Soledad O'Brien might be ditching CNN. Sources tell the New York Post that new CNN honcho Jeff Zucker is planning to move Erin Burnett into O'Brien's morning anchor slot, alongside Chris Cuomo. O'Brien had been promised a move to a primetime slot, but nothing has come of that, a source says, and O'Brien is "telling friends she is likely to leave." The source adds this zinger: "Soledad is talented at producing in-depth, serious pieces of journalism, and is a tough interviewer. That doesn’t seem to fit the direction the network is going." Say it with us now: Ooh, burn.

When I watch a News program, that is what I expect to see & hear NEWS, if I want someone to explain the News Story down to what the color of the shoes were, I would go to a program that offered this. Why can they not simply deliver the news, do it say 3 times per day (that should reach 99% of the Population)

Soledad sister... I don't respect her as a journalist and since she is on CNN, you can be sure that she is neither honest nor principled. 1) Her "Black in America" series is neo-Booker T. Washingtonian, white supremacists bull 2) Her piece on MLK was a white wash of the facts... that MLK's murder was an act of state. 3) She's probably contract negotiating and isn't going anywhere... that's what these media stooges who uphold the racially divisive, capitalist, white supremacist system do at contract time.
