The #10 Indiana Hoosiers rallied from seven down to win 62-58 against Illinois—on the strength of 17 points from freshman Eric Gordon, who had verbally committed to the Illini before changing his mind in favor of his home state. It was Indiana's tenth consecutive win, and 27th straight at home. Also in Top 25 college hoops:

  • Diminutive Tajuan Porter (5'6") outshone Brook Lopez (7'0"), making a key steal from the behemoth late in Oregon's 71-66 victory over Stanford.
  • Rhode Island survived doughty Duquesne's upset attempt, winning 80-78 on a turnaround three-pointer with 11 seconds left.
