DC Comics Killing Latest Robin

Damian Wayne has been a fan favorite

(Newser) – We're sorry you had to hear it this way, comic fans, but Robin is about to be grounded. Fan-favorite Damian Wayne will die in Batman Incorporated #8, the New York Post reports in a morning spoiler. "He saves the world. He does his job as Robin. He dies an absolute hero," writer Grant Morrison explains.

For those not up on modern Batman comics, Damian is the 10-year-old son of Bruce Wayne and sometimes nemesis/sometimes love interest Talia al-Ghul. Raised by the League of Assassins, he was originally a violent killer—but has now become a heroic, if not terribly agreeable, sidekick for Batman. "What we did was turn this little monster into a superhero," Morrison says. "He's a little brat, but he's a super-brat."

Title of the book appears to be "Batman & Robin". Yet the image clearly illustrates Batman, Batman, & Robin.

Not the first time Robin has been killed off.  Jason Todd was the second Robin after Dick Grayson went off on his own and became Nightwing.  Jason Todd was eventually killed in a 1988 comic by the Joker.  In 2005 DC Comics decided to bring him back as the Red Hood.

Whoever posted that picture needs to be flogged for not warning about the spoiler alert. Now that we know that Robin was ass-raped to death by Batman, who needs to read the issue?
